How can I become a participant in the Cup competition?

You can participate by being a grower and entering the competition, or you can become a judge and purchase a product kit to evaluate.
The registration fee is 1000฿, which covers lab testing for Total Cannabinoid % and a photo of the dried flower from @Nochephoto. You will also need to submit 60 grams of flower for the judges' kits.
How much product is needed to compete in the Cup?
60 grams per competition category. There are 3 categories: Hybrid, Sativa, and Indica. You should submit a total of 60 grams of flower, with the product packaged into 1-gram bags for the judges' kits.

What does being a judge mean?

We need judges who are users and enthusiasts, and who can allocate time to rate all the products thoroughly within each competition's deadline. Judges should provide detailed feedback on the appearance, aroma, taste, effects, and other attributes of each farm's flowers.
When you purchase a judge's kit, it will come with a scorecard and a link with login credentials for the High Times judging portal.
You will record all scores in the portal for each entry submitted for the competition. You can post your judging content on your social media for a chance for High Times to feature and repost it!
Additionally, we will select outstanding comments from excellent judges and read these comments during the awards show. Please keep your scores confidential until the results are announced.

How will I know if I’ve been selected to be a judge?

You don’t need an email confirmation or an invitation! The Budtender Cannabis Cup is open to anyone who can legally purchase cannabis in their state, and is sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
We will contact you if there’s a reason we cannot accept you as a judge. Otherwise, set a reminder to visit the participating dispensary nearest to you on the release date!

How much does the judge’s kit cost?

The price of The Budtender Cannabis Cup Judges Kit varies based on the number of products entered in each category. The price per kit may range from $100 to $300, depending on the category and the number of items in that specific kit, including The Budtender Cannabis Cup Judge backpack.
For example, if there are 30 Indica Flower entries, the kit will cost approximately $9000 for a specially curated selection from The Budtender, consisting of 1-gram samples (30) from top growers in the state. We aim to price below market rates to always provide you with a discount. We will know the number of products and the price per kit at the end of the Intake period for each Cup.

Where can I buy the judge's kit?

The Budtender will partner with select cannabis dispensaries in each region of Thailand to be the exclusive retailers of The Budtender judge's kits. We will disclose the addresses and dates for picking up the kits at the retail dispensaries once confirmed for each state.

What is The Budtender Cannabis Cup?

The Budtender Cannabis Cups is a cannabis flower competition, with results to be announced at the Pattaya Payap event returning in 2024.

The competition is open to participants from across Thailand and features the largest panel of judges in the country. This is an opportunity to get your flower in front of hundreds of new customers who will provide feedback, allowing everyone to participate and award prizes to the top performers in the country.

When will The Budtender Cannabis Cup be hosted?

The Budtender Cannabis Cups awards ceremony will be held on December 21st in Pattaya, Chonburi, as part of the Pattaya Payap 2024 event. All details will be displayed on the website CannabisCup.com.

We will notify the authorized brands of the date and location for delivering their products for intake and for consumers to pick up judging kits at dispensaries to participate as judges. Please note that there will typically be no live broadcast, vendor booths, or tickets for this event.
